10 February 2009 Introducing Eric
After 2 years Guy has decided to quit. Still Guy feels like a part of our band, but he will just turn in another music direction. Good luck man!
The apples already have found a new guitar player: Eric. Only 18 and a cheerful musician. He is in some other bands as well: Crimson Aces, Soundmaze and some other stunning projects.

06 June 2008 Gig this weekend
The apples are really excited to see you this Saturday at Sjtubrock in Puth(Limburg, Netherlands). Woody and Ollie are still busy woriking abroad in Germany and Belgium. By the way, Pinkpop was great, RATM and QOTSA really kicked ass. See you tomorrow. Oh yeah, we could be playing or jamming some new stuff, so be prepared!

it up to the final. This first round will be in Rockstage Downtown in Sittard. Come support us with

Take 4 rock bands, ulimited beer and a crazy audience: These ingredients have made a great first edition of Earporn 2008. Thanks to the bands who made a great show. Stealing the Fruits, Aeroplan and Liquid Soil all made a great show.
Also a big hand for our volunteers, without them we could not serve the crazy audience. This won' t be the last edition, in 2009 a new edition will come true.
We hope to supply you with some pics of the festival very soon, so keep checking out our site.
26 February Earporn almost sold out!
The festival will be a straight forward succes: Only a few tickets are available.
Here is the official timetable and line-up of the first festival edition:

These 4 rock bands will quench your daily rock thirst and besides your hunger for Beer/wine/soda. That's why unlimited drinks are included in the 15 euro tickets.

20 February Yep, Apples on the road....
Well ok not really of course, at least not that we know of ;-) No no, it's just that the guys are pretty busy with traveling this time of the year. Woody is busy with internships in Belgium (or almost France actually), and Ollie is following courses in Utrecht for the coming weeks.
And that's not all, coz we're busy organizing the very first Earporn festival too of course!! Just 10 days to go so we're getting close; exciting!!

11 February Booze and Battle
Meerlo was the place of our recent show last weekend. It actually was a battle between us and our friends of the Reckless Pilots.
The other bands which would come were all ill. That gave us a plus, some extra booze ;-)
The battle was won by the Reckless Pilots. Not a shame when you battle against band #3 of the bandcontest to play on Pinkpop.

25 January What a night.....
Yeah! The Apples rocked in Maastricht last Tuesday! First of all, the audience was great and obviously enjoyed our performance by clapping and dancing. Note, some people started a pit during Mr G!
The student association "SV Koko" did a great job. Our congratulations to the Paradogmas and Dirk and the Dirkettes with their win! Some video material will be added soon.
By the way, the host of the night announced us as the YouTube guys!

6 January Custom drumhead, rock music and excitement...
Oh yes, the busy vernal season is coming! Yet we have a new gig planned on 22 January in Maastricht(NL). But that's just the top of the iceberg, next months a lot of gigs will be added.
Woods is very excited, he gots his very own custom bassdrum head. 22 January
he hopes to show you his unique drumhead.
The battle for a gig on Pinkpop 2008 has started. The battle "Nu of Nooit" started with the first round in Maastricht. Thijs, Ollie en Woods saw some nice bands, especially Reckless Pilots. Hans & Rutger (Drums&Vocals/guitar) surpised us with a great performance. The Apples also met some friends and checked out there future rehearsal spot. See you soon!

20 December Get rid of your end years’ rituals!
Are you already bored of all Christmas songs, charts, year overviews and obligations of the end of the year?
Best solution, cut the crap and start jamming on your guitar, drums or whatever is in reach of your hands. And that's exactly what the Apples tommorrow will do, their last rehearsal of the year. Next week they will have a deserved week of Holiday(although they will surely be jamming at home).
2007 was awesome for the Apples. Release of their first EP in January and afterwards a perfect gig in a band competion with a win as result. A lot of EP's sold this year and a lot of gigs at different nice venues.
We proudly thank all our spectators, critics, fans, roadies, groupies and girlfriends(no not our ex girlfriends,
although they gave us some inspirations 
).
So get rid of all rituals and DON'T STOP DREAMING, DON'T EVER GIVE UP, and you will have a fabulous 2008.

17 December I feel great!
Last rehearsal we made a big jam and we brewed a brand new song bundling lots of cool riffs. The new song is called: "I feel great". Next gig we will surprise you with this song and off course we let you enjoy our funky song, this time with lyrics. ...
Oh, before we forget, last Sunday we met Liquid Soil at their rehearsal spot
(Bosuil, Weert, NL). Relaxed dudes, good rock music and their very own sound. Our presence wasn't kept unnoticed by the authorities. The

9 December How did we miss it?
The gig in Café Bluff was great last weekend!
We didn't visit this venue before, but I can tell you this won't be the
last time. Nice people, cool atmosphere, a local fool(Eddy) and last but not least, good music.
4 December Earporn 2008 festival line-up
We can proudly announce two confirmed bands for the Earporn 2008 festival(1 March 2008):
Of course we will get on stage that night too.
One band will be added soon. As soon as we got a confirmation, we give you an update.
Tickets will be available before Christmas. When available we will tell you how to get them!
This weekend, Saturday 8 December we will be playing in Heerlen(NL). The location will be Café Bluff! The otherband is of our friends of Three Laces.

13 November 2007 Jam-sessions and festivals... yeah, we’re busy!
As some of you might already have discovered, we had to cancel our gigs last weekend because Maarten lost his voice... if someone finds it, please send a mail to us or post a comment on our Space!
Anyway, Woods and Ollie decided to visit Cafe Barrock last Saturday; Grand Theft Apple was supposed to perform there, but as that was not possible, they figured they could still go there for some beers!
And a nice evening it was; after a good performance of Dark Clouds, Woods and Ollie got on stage to play some good old Peppers covers together with Dark Clouds' bassplayer and former Hoover guitarist Renier. So, still a bit of gigging last weekend.
Some news: we're proud to inform you that we're organizing our very own festival!! It's called "Earporn" and will take place on 1 March 2008 in the Djive, former discotheque in Elsloo, Limburg !
Earporn, you say....? Yep, get ready for some amazing music, it's gonna be hardcore porn for your ears baby! More details will be available soon; just check out our Space: Grand Theft Apple
02 November 2007 Update!
After a week we got some fresh news for you.
A gig is added on 8 December. Still we are very busy in breeding some new plans. Hopefully we can tell you more about it next month.
We are very proud to welcome our 1000th friend this week. This friend will be surprised with a promo pack our band. Next blog we will tell you who the winner is!
23 October 2007 Good old gear!

Sunday night we played in Oirlo(NL) at Zomaarpop. It was great to have a lot of peeps in front of our stage. So, we were very eager to play a
good session and YES, we did! Thijs had some technical issues with his brand new bas amp.
Fortunately he discovered it before we went to Oirlo. So he had to play on his good old gear!
We are looking forward to our 1000th MySpace friend! We will surprise her or him with a promopack(CD+more...)!

Last weekend we had a great show in Nieuwe Nor, Heerlen(NL). Thanks to the audience and organisation it was fucking nice to play there.
Before us played Angels a very good show. The last act of the night was Onefix with their very energetic performance.

13 September 2007 Graduated
Last Wednesday evening we had a MySpace workshop by Marc Bosch. He was really into the tips and tricks of this medium. Thank you "Marc2b". The host of the session was SPL in "de Muziekgieterij" in Maastricht. The three of us, Thijs, Ollie and Woods all graduated for the workshop. Thank you Marc for saving us the dramatic match of the Dutch National football team!

28 August 2007 Finally together
After another period of holidays and the injury of Ollie, the Apples will rehearse at full strength next thursday. Ollies collarbone seems to heal very quick. The seduction of the guitar to Ollie might be the cause of the fast healing process. Anyway, we are happy to rehearse together again. By the way, check our new gig at your left.
14 August 2007 Bandcoaching on progress..
Raymond van Rooijen chose our band for a try-out bandcoaching project. On Woods' birthday we had a first meeting with this man who is a true music fanatic. By this project we will improve our skills in music and management of the band. Check the site of Raymond and his consultancy called Pop Instituut Limburg.
9 August 2007 Ollie injured
Yesterday Ollie broke his left collarbone during a mountainbike trail. We all feel very sorry for him. Due to this injury the next gig in Schimmert this friday 10 August will be cancelled. We hope to play at this venue in the near future. For now, Ollie have a happy healing! ;-)
27 July Grand Theft Apple at Hyves
Today the Apples have their very own fansite. Some dedicated fans started the Hyves after the unplugged gig. Go visit the Hyves, they really did a great job. Go on and promote our music. The site has been added to the link section.
7 August 2007 Holidays
After a period of holidays, the Apples rehearsed Thursday 2 August with the entire band. The holiday period seemed to inspire the whole band and resulted in a brand new song. Grand Theft Apple will play the new song at the next gig in Schimmert(NL) Friday 10 August.
25 June Unplugged? gig last weekend
We were probably the first band doing unplugged session using an e-drum ;-). Thanks to the enthousiastic crowd, we played an amazing set. Turns out our rock songs could sound great without plugs & cables too.
21 June 2007 Holiday Party 2007 Geleen cancelled
The pubs at the market in Geleen had a plan to oragnise a party to celebrate the end of the highschool year and begin of the holidays. A stage was to be set up right in the middle of the market. Unfortunately the organisation was not able to promote this party thoroughly. Therefore it was cancelled. Maybe better luck next year?
11 June 2007 Hot gig in Caf Smileys last Friday
A lot of fresh energy and fresh music filled Caf Smileys during a literally hot night in Brunssum. Grand Theft Apple played one of their better shows so far. Thanks to Three Laces, Period and the Caf Smileys a chill night was realised.
8 June 2007 New songs in tonights gig
Tonight, the Apples will perform in Brunssum @ Caf Simleys. Line up will be Three Laces, Grand Theft Apple and Period. The Apples will play some new stuff live for the first time! Hope you can join us and tell us what you think about it. Doors: 7 pm. Start: 8.30 pm.
30 May 2007 To be confirmed
Finally, after a period of no news or new shows additons, here is some news for you. Currently the Apples are doubling their repertoire with new songs. They are very excited about the new songs and hope to add some more. "The new songs are very energetic, sometimes heavier, sometimes more funky, though we try to stick as much to our own sound" says Woods. In the next few weeks, Grand Theft Apple will confirm some new dates to the gig section. Details will follow soon.
29 May 2007 Pinkpop 2007
One of Hollands biggest Open-Air festival was great despite some heavy showers. Muse, Dave Matthews band, the Arctic Monkeys, the Kooks, Snow Patrol and C-mon & Kypski are a selection of artist which had a great show. Local band Viberider performed on stage as the proud winner of 'nu of nooit' band contest. Off course the Apples visited this event and had a great time.
27 April 07 Cancelled gig
We are very sorry to tell you we have to cancel Mosterdpop:Queenscontest. The guys of Mosterdpop do a great job in promoting the festival and the contest. Due to a conflict in the band we have to cancel this gig. It was a very tough decision. Mosterdpop continue the good work!

31 March 07 Podiumvrees Finals in the Fenix
The Apples performed @ the Fenix stage yesterday night. With some strong competitors, Retribution, Drag the Racer and Siren, it was a though challenge. The winner of Podiumvrees Finals was Siren. Siren is an all-girl hardcore punk band. Their performance and music is as heavy as their name. Congrats with the win girls!!

10 March 07 And the winner is....
Yesterday we competed for a place in the finals of Podiumvrees. And guess what?
The jury chose Grand Theft Apple as the winner of this qualifiying round @ the Ernesto's Venue!!!
A Special Thanks to the people who visited this evening. The bar was packed till the last inch.
